Grill, smoke and plates to share

Restaurant & Food at PS Bar

From the Grill

The grill is the heart of the kitchen. Steaks are cooked over high heat so they get a dark, crisp crust on the outside and stay juicy within, and they are served without unnecessary garnish because the meat can stand on its own.

Alongside come classic sides to share or keep to yourself, and a grilling style that nods to the American steakhouses without taking itself too seriously.

This is food made to satisfy and to impress, but never at the expense of the mood. You should be able to talk across the table while you eat.

To Share

The rest of the menu is built to be passed around.

Snacks for the first drinks, pizzas with a crisp base and a handful of dishes borrowed from the international comfort kitchen PS grew out of. The idea is simple: order broadly, put it all in the middle, and let the group gather around the food.

It works just as well for two people sharing a few plates over a glass of wine as for a table of ten that wants to taste everything. The more you share, the better the evening gets.

The Mood for Dinner

Dinner at PS is not a quiet affair, but it is not the party yet either.

Early in the evening the room is calmer, the light low and the energy relaxed, so the food and the company have space.

The raw tiles, the iron and the dark tones give a big-city mood that suits a Thursday with colleagues just as well as a Saturday that later ends at the bar.

This is where the evening begins, and the food is the reason you came.
